Jc van Tonder and Tarryn van Tonder had such a unique wedding. It didn't take place on the usual Saturday - they decided to have it on a Friday 31st March 2017! They enjoyed the whole weekend with family and friends which traveled down to East London. They had an old vintage lock that they had engraved with their names and wedding date and in their ceremony they locked it together to symbolise them being locked together in Christ and no one can separate. How Tarryn chose her dress: It took a very long time deciding on THE dress. Eventually she decided to get her dress made by Evette. It was mostly a lace dress with a detachable skirt so she could dance the night away once all the formalities were over. What inspired their wedding style: JC and Tarryn wanted a very relaxed wedding and loved the idea of doing all their own DIY together with the rustic look. They made all their own wedding invitations, centrepieces, decor items and gifts for their guests. All these DIY projects meant spending extra special time together. All the decor that they had made themselves could be re-used after the wedding in their house or displayed in their garden. Their own special twist: Tarryn always called JC her superman. They had the very cute detail of Superman symbols embroidered to his socks and Batman for his best man, while Tarryn had wonder woman and her maid of honour catwoman. The men also wore cufflinks of their superheroes on the day.
