Little did she know that she was going to meet the man of her dreams. Nadia's room mate was besotted with the Shamwari TV Program which was airing on Animal Planet at the time, so she knew exactly who everyone was. The one day, Ranger Morne, came driving past on the way to the canteen and their lecturer stopped to have a chat, when her roomy explained to everyone who he was. That evening a friend started a Facebook profile for Nadia and she received her first friend request and inbox message. Nadia then finished her course and came back to her hometown. Morne got an offer to go work in Qatar. He was there for 6 years, but they always kept in touch. When Morne returned in 2015, Nadia decided to take a drive up to the Krige’s Farm in the Karoo, where he was staying as he has some game there. That was it, their love for each other just kept on growing. They did long distance for about a year and then Morne moved down to East London to be with her. New Years Eve 2016 into 2017, while they were watching the fireworks on the beach in Struisbaai, Morne proposed and of course it was a YES! The Dress: Nadia always wanted to get married in her mom’s wedding dress. So, she has always kept it safe. However, her parents got married in 1985, so obviously the dress was a bit outdated. Nadia went to see Evette. Evette was so excited to take this challenge on, together they had a look at some photos of what might work, and what won't and put the design together. Evette is absolutely amazing, she makes a dream turn into reality and nothing is ever too much for her! Wedding Style:
Nadia says "Oh believe me… I changed my mind a few times! Then one night I woke up thinking, OMG that’ll look so pretty!! I believe that simple is more. I always wanted a red and white wedding and Morne wanted a touch of blush pink (don’t laugh). I had a chat to Sarah regarding the flowers and she convinced me that the deep reds and light pinks work well together. She is absolutely incredible! We decided to do deep red, white and pinks. I absolutely love orchards so we used them as the main focus on the tables with a greenery runner and some red roses. We got some stunning blush pink floral napkins from Basics to Bling and added a copper serviette ring, which Morne and I made just for a little personal touch."
