Love Story - How they met:
Paul and Taylor, as well as Taylor's dad, share the same passion for spearfishing.
Paul and Taylor's dad became friends through the sport. The first day he came over to their house Taylor had , at most, said two words to him.
Although, by the time he had left Taylor told her parents that she was going to marry Paul. Taylor's parents laughed and thought it was really sweet that she had a crush on Paul, although they brushed off the marrying part and didn't take it seriously at all.
Paul and Taylor became close friends, diving together. Taylor's dad, unfortunately, became ill with leukemia. To try help take Taylor's mind off things he would take her out diving. Taylor's dad is now in full remission!
On the 2nd January 2016 Paul and Taylor started dating. They had a fun filled relationship, travelling together, and making the most of their lives together. Paul proposed out at sea on his boat after a dive and had organised the family to meet them at the slipway as they came in.
Taylor's maid of honor and her mom booked them to go see seven different bridal stores in PE in one day! They travelled to PE for the day and Loca Bridal was the first bridal shop.
Taylor picked one dress and the rest of her bridal team chose a few. The dress she chose was beautiful, however the second dress that Taylor tried was the one that they had mixed pieces together. It was absolutely beautiful. That was THE dress!
The whole day Taylor could not stop thinking about that dress and knew it was the one for their special day.
What inspired their Wedding Style:
Paul and Taylor are not ones for a lot of colour. Taylor had a very simple colour pallet.
She originally went for a full white wedding with penny gum but decided to bring in some blush pink and gold to bring in a little vintage feel. They had in total, approximately 340 guests! Talk about a large wedding!
Proudly South African:
Paul and Taylor had so many family members come down from all over the world and they absolutely loved their wedding venue, as well as East London.
Paul and Taylor had their wedding on a Friday. Family stayed through to the next Wednesday which made it almost a whole weeks celebration. Taylor didn't have the help of a wedding planner, however her maid of honor, Esti, and one of her bridesmaids, Lauren, helped her with all the planning.
The East London Golf Club loved hosting their wedding so much that they used Paul and Taylor's wedding pictures as their banners and boards for the Bridal Fair.
