How you met:
I worked at an orthopaedic surgeon, Tyler came in for a knee injury around October 2013. That’s where we first met, but we didn’t make any moves until March 2014.

One of my best friends met a guy, he so happened to be gym partners with Tyler. I hung out with her and Quinton for a while and eventually Tyler asked him if I was the girl that worked at the Dr’s room – small world! Thereafter we went to a shooter party at Numbers and Tyler was there and that’s where we officially met
and spoke.  The good old Numbers days!

The next day I got a message asking for my number and if we could go out. We went on a double date to Tuesday Sensation and we hit it off immediately. I was moving to Pretoria at the end of March, which I did. We stayed in contact every day, spent hours on the phone and just couldn’t pull away from the fact that this may be the real thing. I decided to move back only 6 weeks later and we picked up right where we left off and the rest is history! It was so natural, comfortable and so easy from the beginning, it was like we had known each other for years. It was meant to be. Fate.

How you chose your dress:
I had a vision of this fitting, slim, lacey dress. I went to Mandy at Lady Marmalaide with my mom, my mom in law and my 3 bridesmaids and started the search for my perfect dress!

After trying on almost every style that there was,  everything I had in mind, I still felt like I hadn’t found THE ONE.

Nothing felt perfect and I didn’t get the OMW bride feeling, until I tried on a fairy tale princess dress! Two things I didn’t want or rather two things I didn’t think would suit me! A  boob tube and puffy dress! Those are the two things that looked PERFECT.

I walked out, they all gasped and the reaction just did it for me. I turned around, saw myself and felt like an absolute bride, like a perfect vision of a bride! I was so taken back that I fell in love! What you think you want and what you think may look amazing on you, is total opposite! The best decision I made. I felt like the most beautiful bride on my day! I was and am still so in love with my dress.

What inspired your wedding style:
I wanted something elegant, different, classy, and stunning. I found that copper and dusty blue went gorgeous together and so I mixed it in with some greys and voila! I used only white flowers and greenery to pop on the colour palette we chose.

Karen from Lush Events and Sarah May are just beyond amazing and they far exceeded my expectations for the décor and flowers. I told them what I wanted and they brought me the most amazing set up. I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. The guys wore a handsome blue suit and the girls wore dusty blue dresses that complimented our wedding perfectly.

Our day was a literal perfect fairy tale. Everything went so smoothly, and the weather held out until we had done our photos.   We lost light really quickly and being overcast we didn’t get the golden sunset, but we got the most stunning backdrops from the cliffs.

There is nothing about our day I would change. It was the best day of my life and I got to marry the man of my dreams.  The love of my life and to spend forever together as husband and wife is a dream come true.

Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay – Ruth 1:16
